Vision

Provide a co-creation platform that moves away from tightly coupled integrations and lets features snap together like Lego bricks.

The project provides basic plugin management for install, enable/disable, download, and uninstall. The marketplace is mainly for discovery and navigation. Third-party plugin quality, updates, pricing, and technical support remain the responsibility of plugin developers.

Groups

The marketplace organizes plugins into four groups so they are easier to find and filter. Each plugin belongs to both a side group and a maintainer group, for example "Backend · Official".

• Backend: plugins installed into backend/plugin
• Frontend: plugins installed into the frontend project; repository names end with _ui or -ui
• Official: maintained by the fastapi-practices organization
• Community: maintained by community developers
