Introduction
This Privacy Policy is issued by wu-clan / FastAPI Practices (“we”, “us”) for the official fba (FastAPI Best Architecture) documentation website. It explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information related to you, and how you can exercise your rights.
This Policy applies only to this website and the services we use to operate it. It does not apply to fba projects that you or others deploy and operate yourselves. Processing that arises from a self-hosted deployment is the responsibility of that operator.
Please read this Policy before using the website. By continuing to visit or use the website, you acknowledge and agree that we may process related information as described here. If you do not agree, please stop using the website and refuse cookies in your browser settings.
If you have questions about this Policy or related matters, contact us at jianhengwu0407@gmail.com.
1. Information We Collect
This website is an open-source documentation site for developers. It does not provide registration, login, or user accounts, and we do not actively collect phone numbers, ID numbers, biometrics, or other sensitive personal information. We process information only as needed for the purposes below.
1.1 Information you provide
- Contact information — if you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of the message so we can reply.
- Community interaction — if you comment via Giscus, open a GitHub issue or pull request, or join the user registry, the relevant platform processes your GitHub account, display name, avatar, and the content you publish. GitHub handles that information under its own policy; we use it only insofar as it is publicly visible.
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Access logs — the hosting provider may record access time, request path, browser type, device and OS information, referrer, and IP address, to keep the site available, debug issues, and protect security.
- Analytics — we use Baidu Analytics to understand page views, traffic sources, and general usage. It may collect device information, pages viewed, and visit duration through cookies or anonymous identifiers, so we can improve the docs and the site. Baidu Analytics is operated by Baidu under its own privacy policy.
1.3 Information stored only on your device
- The site may use browser localStorage to cache public data such as the plugin marketplace list and project stats, to avoid repeat requests. This data stays on your device and is not uploaded to our servers because of that cache. You can clear it in your browser at any time.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected information only to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve this website and the documentation;
- Measure visits and understand how the docs are used;
- Respond to inquiries, feedback, or rights requests;
- Protect the site, debug issues, and prevent abuse;
- Meet obligations under applicable laws.
We do not use your information for personalized advertising, and we do not sell your personal information to advertisers.
3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
This website and third-party services may use cookies or similar technologies:
- Necessary or functional — language preference, theme, local cache, and similar browsing features;
- Analytics — Baidu Analytics uses cookies or identifiers to produce visit statistics.
You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser. After you refuse, some analytics will not run; reading the docs is generally unaffected. Clearing browser data also removes local caches.
4. Storage of Information
4.1 How and how long
- Contact emails are kept only as long as needed to handle the inquiry, complete a rights request, or meet legal duties, then deleted or anonymized.
- Access logs and analytics retention follow the hosting provider and Baidu Analytics. We do not keep them indefinitely on our own.
- Local caches on your device are under your control and can be cleared at any time.
4.2 Where
- This website is hosted on an overseas platform, so access logs may be stored outside mainland China.
- Baidu Analytics data is processed by Baidu in mainland China.
- Comments, source hosting, and collaboration take place on GitHub and similar overseas platforms.
5. Processors, Sharing, and Third-Party Services
To run this website, your browser may send necessary requests to the parties below. We do not sell your personal information.
- Hosting — Vercel or similar providers process requests and access logs for delivery and security;
- Baidu Analytics — visit statistics;
- GitHub / Giscus — source hosting, documentation comments, and community collaboration;
- Content delivery — some images, plugin lists, or stats may load via GitHub, jsDelivr, or other CDNs;
- Sponsor display — the site may show sponsor names or creative. This is public display; we do not provide sponsors with information that identifies you.
If you leave this site for GitHub, Discord, or other third-party sites, their own privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for their processing.
We may provide information without additional consent where required by law, including matters directly related to national security, public security, or criminal justice; where it is necessary to protect major lawful rights and interests and consent is hard to obtain; where you have made the information public yourself or it was collected from lawful public sources without violating your major interests; and other cases provided by laws and administrative regulations.
6. Cross-Border Provision
Because hosting, comments, and open-source collaboration use overseas services, when you visit this website, comment, or interact with us on GitHub, related information (such as IP address, device information, GitHub account, and public content) may be transferred outside the People’s Republic of China. This is done to provide documentation access, comments, and collaboration. If you do not want that transfer to occur, please stop using the relevant features.
7. Information Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including HTTPS. No internet transmission or storage is completely secure. Please keep your GitHub account, email, and similar credentials safe, and avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive personal information on this website or in public channels.
8. Your Rights
Where applicable law grants them, you have the right to access, copy, correct, or delete your personal information, restrict or refuse processing, and withdraw consent. This website has no user accounts, so please send requests to jianhengwu0407@gmail.com and describe what you are asking for so we can verify and handle them.
- You can clear cookies and local caches in your browser;
- You can stop using the website, or block analytics scripts and third-party requests in your browser;
- Content on GitHub / Giscus can be managed through your GitHub account and the relevant page features.
We will respond promptly after verifying your identity. If you believe our processing has harmed your lawful rights, you may also complain to the competent cyberspace, industry and information technology, or market regulation authorities.
9. Protection of Minors
This website is intended for software developers and is not directed at children under fourteen. We do not actively collect their personal information. If you are a guardian and find that a minor has provided personal information without consent, contact us at the email above and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes
We may revise this Policy as our services, technology, or the law change. We will publish the updated Policy on this page and change the effective date at the top. For material changes, we will give notice in a reasonable way, such as a notice on the page. If you continue to use the website after an update, you agree to the updated Policy.
